The film “Black Clover” will be released in March 2023 and streamed on Netflix! Seki Toshihiko plays an original character in the film, which depicts a new battle for the “Wizard King.”

The first film adaptation of the manga “Black Clover” will be titled “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King” and will be released in theaters nationwide on March 31, 2023, and streamed worldwide on Netflix. In addition, a teaser visual newly drawn by the original author, Tabata Yuki, a special report, and an original character played by Seki Toshihiko have been released, and a comment from Tabata also arrived.

“Black Clover” is a magic creation fantasy currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” by Tabata Yuki. In a world where magic is everything, the story follows Asta, a boy who was born with no magic, as he aims to become the “Wizard King,” the pinnacle of mages, in order to overcome adversity, prove his power, and keep the oath he swore to his friends. The TV anime has been broadcast from October 2017 to March 2021 with a total of 170 episodes.

The movie “Black Clover: The Sword of the Wizard King,” the official title of which has now been announced, will feature an original story not depicted in the original works. Tabata, the author of the original story, will be in charge of supervising the film and drafting the characters, and the film will tell the story of the Wizard King, which was not revealed in the original story.

The special trailer released along with the film begins with a look back at the story of the TV series so far. It tells the story of the Wizard King, which was not revealed in the original story, and shows the appearance of the previous Wizard King, Conrad, who was designed by Tabata himself. He makes a meaningful statement, “Today I… will change this country,” and at the end of the film, Asta gives an impression of his fighting spirit, “Never-give-up spirit is my magic!!” The film is finished with an impressive image of Asta’s fighting spirit.

It was also learned that the film’s original character, Conrad, will be played by Seki Toshihiko, known for Kibutsuji Muzan in “Demon Slayer” and Doi Hansuke in “Nintama Rantaro”.

In addition, a teaser visual drawn by the original author, Tabata, was also unveiled. The teaser visual depicts Asta holding a sword with a strong gaze and a powerful message, “Never-give-up spirit is my magic.” What does the title of the film, “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King” mean? It places more expectations on the film.

The film “Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King” will be released on March 31, 2023, and will also be streamed worldwide on Netflix. We look forward to hearing more about it in the future.

Tabata Yuki, author, supervisor, and character designer of the film

It seems that the visuals and the special report of the movie “BlaClo” have finally been released!

The story is about the “Wizard King”, which I was wondering whether to write in the original work or not, and they made it into a movie!
It’s a story that I was wondering if I would do in the original, but I think it will be a movie where you will be able to enjoy the large-scale and flashy battles between Asta and his powerful enemies!
Director Tanemura and Studio Pierrot are now working hard to make this movie…!!
Thank you sooo much!!! Look forward to next March!!! I’m looking forward to it too!!!
