From the TV anime “Haikyu!!”, the figure of Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio under the figure series “LookUp” has been announced. The pre-orders of the set of the two “Hinata Shoyo & Kageyama Tobio Set ‘Limited Edition Novelty: Mini Cushion'” has started at Premium Bandai.
“Haikyu!!” is a volleyball manga by Furudate Haruichi that was serialized on “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2012 to 2020. The small-framed boy, Hinata Shoyo enrolls into his adored Karasuno High School, and it depicts his struggle while aiming for the national championship with his unique friends, including the genius player Kageyama Tobio.
The TV anime started broadcast in 2014 and a total of 4 seasons were broadcasted. It was also adapted as a film and OVA, and 2022 is the 10th anniversary of this work. A total of 10 big projects are currently being held in conjunction to the anniversary year, some of the projects are release of the commemoration book, and a collaboration match event with V.LEAGUE.
The announced product is the “LookUp” figure of the Karasuno High School’s volleyball club’s middle blocker Hinata Shoyo and the center Kageyama Tobio. “LookUp” series is a figure series known for its cute appearance and based on the phrase “look up”. It is popular due to the “look up while sitting posture” as if it was looking at you. Moreover, it is much easier to be noticed than other figures when placing on the desk, along with the moveable head and interchangeable face expression.
Both the characters are made into a chibi form while maintaining their signature, such as the hair and eyes, and their appearance while looking up is so cute. The height of both products are 110mm. If the pre-orders were made at Premium Bandai, it will come with the limited edition’s novelty, which is the original mini cushion that featured their player number along with the name “Shoyo” and “Tobio”. The price for the Premium Bandai limited Hinata Shoyo & Kageyama Tobio set is 7,599 JPY (tax and delivery fee included).
Also, the single figure of Hinata Shoyo and Kageyama Tobio are being sold at the retail shop. The price is 3,799 JPY (tax included) each.
