The Netflix series “Bastard!! – Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-,” has released a synopsis and preview scene cuts from the first episode, “Appearance,” which will be distributed on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

The original work of “Bastard!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-” is a dark battle fantasy of the same title serialized by Kazushi Hagiwara in “Weekly Shonen Jump” since 1988, which has sold more than 30 million copies in total.
Set in a world of chaos where magic and swords rule, the story follows the legendary wizard Dark Schneider, who has lived for over 400 years, as he battles monsters, evil wizards, and the deformed being “God of Destruction.” The series attracted a lot of attention for its novel and spectacular story development, the depiction of chanting spells, and the cute and sexy heroines.

The title of the first episode is “Appearance.”
Four hundred years after the collapse of modern civilization, in a world of chaos dominated by magic and swords, the Kingdom of Metallicana is attacked by a rebel army of darkness led by the Four Heavenly Kings.
In order to save the kingdom, Tia Noto Yoko, daughter of the High Priestess, is forced to make a “certain decision”. It is the resurrection of Dark Schneider, an ancient great wizard who once schemed to rule the world.

The first episode of “BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-” will be available exclusively worldwide on Netflix from June 30.
