My Hero Academia” is based on the comic of the same title by Kohei Horikoshi that is currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”. The total circulation of the series has exceeded 65 million.
Set in a world where people possess supernatural abilities called “individuality”, the main character, Izuku Midoriya (commonly called Deku), becomes a “hero” who confronts the criminal “villain” that abuses individuality. The story depicts Deku as he grows up with his friends at the prestigious hero training school, Yuei High School. The 6th season of TV animation is scheduled to be broadcast in the fall of 2022.
Following “HLB”, which depicts a baseball showdown between heroes, the details and a newly-drawn visual by Bonds have been released for the other episode “Laugh Like Hell!”.
This work is an episode in the timeline of the “Endeavor Office Intern Arc” of the 5th season of the TV anime, and depicts an incident that occurred under the jurisdiction of the “Endeavor Office” while Deku, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki interns at the office.
The two episodes “HLB” and “Laugh Like Hell!” will be screened in advance at the movie theater for four days from June 16th to 19th on “Hero’s Day”. A double-sided postcard with visuals of “HLB” and “Laugh Like Hell!” will be presented to visitors.
In addition, at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills on June 19, stage greetings by Daiki Yamashita as Deku and Junichi Suwabe as Shota Aizawa will be held, so fans should definitely check this out as well.
New “My Hero Academia” anime original episodes “HLB” and “Laugh Like Hell!” will be available on various video distribution services this summer. The 6th season of the TV anime is scheduled to air this fall.
