The final episode of the manga “The Duke of Death and His Maid”, which has also been made into a TV anime, will be distributed on the webcomic site “Sunday Webry” on May 17, 2022. The broadcast of the TV anime Season 2 will also start in 2023.
The original story of “The Duke of Death and His Maid” is a work of the same title serialized in “Sunday Webry” by Inoue, which has sold more than 1.5 million copies in total.
The story depicts a romantic comedy nearly crossing the border between Victor, who is rejected by people due to his curse and spends his days in loneliness, and Alice, his maid who sexually harasses him.
The TV anime was broadcast from July to September 2021, and a sequel will be produced to coincide with the final episode.
In addition, in conjunction with the final episode of the original comic, the broadcast of Season 2 was announced to start in 2023. A visual depicting Victor and Alice was also released to commemorate the production of Season 2.
A Twitter campaign and a broadcast marathon of Season 1 on ABEMA will also take place in commemoration of the comic completion and broadcast of Season 2.
There will also be a special event at the Narashino Cultural Hall in Chiba Prefecture on July 9, 2022, which will be attended by voice actors including Natsuki Hanae (Victor), Ayumi Mano (Alice), Inori Minase (Viola), Wakana Kuramochi (Cuff), and Hiroshi Kamiya (Zain).
