New “Osomatsu-san” Anime Trailer Released! Opening song will be “Hanamaru Pippi” Reiwa ver.

The trailer and main visual for the new anime “Osomatsu-san: Hipipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit”, which will be released on July 8, 2022 to commemorate the 6th anniversary of the TV anime “Osomatsu-san”, have been released. It was also announced that the opening theme song will be “Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake Reiwa ver.” by AOP.

Based on Akatsuka Fujio’s classic gag manga “Osomatsu-kun,” “Osomatsu-san” is a TV anime depicting sextuplets, who have become no-good adults, trash and NEETs. Following the first season (October 2015 – March 2016) and second season (October 2017 – March 2018), the third season was aired (October 2020 – March 2021), and the film, “Eiga no Osomatsu-san” was released on March 15, 2019.

Opening in theaters nationwide on July 8, “Osomatsu-san: Hipipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit” is an epic adventure comedy about the sextuplets who arrive on a mysterious island in search of a legendary fruit called the shining fruit, which “makes any wish come true” if eaten, in order to put an end to their shitty daily lives.

This newly released trailer reads, “We don’t run away …… we fight. On this journey we will be reborn!” (CV: Sakurai Takahiro), the trailer opens with a serious line that is unlike Osomatsu, passionately describing the thoughts and feelings that the sextuplets are betting on for this journey. The second half of the film, which is a bit like “Osomatsu-san”, is full of gags and powerful plot twists, and we can’t wait to see the sextuplets, who have become even more powerful since the sixth anniversary, before the main story begins.

The main visual, newly drawn by character designer Yasuhiko Eiji, has also been unveiled. In the image, the “Hipipo Tribe,” which was revealed for the first time, can be seen as the sextuplets make a mad dash on the mysterious island. It will be interesting to see how the Hipipo, a mysterious minority tribe, will be involved in the story.

The opening theme song will be “Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake Reiwa ver.” by AOP. AOP is a unit of girls who love anime and was formed in 2012 as part of the “anime ‘selfishly’ support project.” Since their first TV anime tie-up song “Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake”, the opening theme song for the first season of “Osomatsu-san”, they have sung the opening theme songs for “Osomatsu-san”.
In March 2021, they regrettably ended their career, but now “Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake”, the song that started “Osomatsu-san”, has been rearranged under the theme of “adventure” and revived in Reiwa era as “Hanamaru Pippi wa Yoiko Dake Reiwa ver.”

The anime “Osomatsu-san: Hipipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit” will be screened in theaters nationwide on July 8, and the second series of muviticket advance tickets will go on sale on May 13, with a special “plaster set with glitter mount card” as a bonus.
