Collaboration between the TV animation Golden Kamuy and Hokkaido famous confectionery “Shiroi Koibito” has been announced. The Vol.2, featuring a new design of ‘Lieutenant Tsurumi’, will be available in limited quantities from March 14, 2022.

This work is a battle manga by Noda Satoru, serialized in “Weekly Young Jump”, with a total circulation of more than 18 million copies. Sugimoto Saichi also known as “Sugimoto the Immortal”, Asirpa, a young Ainu girl, and others get involved in a get-rich-quick survival scheme in search of gold nuggets lying in Hokkaido. It is a popular work that began airing as an anime in 2018, and a fourth season is currently in production.

The new “Shiroi Koibito” collaboration can is a long-awaited sequel to the collaboration can that was launched in December 2020 with designs of Asirpa and Retar, as many requests for the next collaboration. The design is that of ‘Lieutenant Tsurumi’, which was requested by many fans.
He is a lieutenant in the 7th Division of the Imperial Japanese Army, and is regarded as dangerous by his superiors due to his excellent information gathering and analysis skills. Because he was severely injured in battle, his frontal area is covered with a protector that makes him looks unusual. He is charismatic in a way and many of his subordinates are fascinated by him.

The Shiroi Koibito 36-piece “Golden Kamuy” collaboration cans, printed with a newly-drawn original illustration of Lieutenant Tsurumi, are sold at the “Shop Piccadilly” in Shiroi Koibito Park and “ISHIYA Sapporo Odori Honten”, as well as on the ISHIYA Online Shop Annex.
