‘Jobless Reincarnation’ season 2 is announced! Sugita Tomokazu, Namikawa Daisuke, and others announce the start of the production on stage.

The second season of “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” announces its start of production. The author, “Rifujin na Mago no Te”, started to write the series on “Shousetsu-ka ni Narou (lit. Become a Novelist)”, a website for those who aspire to be a novel author. The series is known as one of the first works to be published from the website, and has published more than 10 million copies since its serialization.

“Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” revolves around a 34-year-old unemployed man who has been a recluse since an incident during his time as a student. Shortly after he gets kicked out of his home by his family, he dies in a car accident and gets reincarnated in a world of sword and magic as a boy named Rudeus. The story depicts his grand adventure as Rudeus using knowledge and regrets from his previous life as a source of inspiration.

In 2021, the TV anime series was broadcast for two seasons. The production company “Studio Bind”, established for producing this work, attracted a great deal of attention for its high-quality animation.
In the final episode (episode 23), Rudeus, who has been left all alone and shut himself in as in his previous life, is inspired to start walking again to search for his mother Zenith, who went missing due to a “transference incident”.

The decision to produce a second season of the anime was announced on March 6th at the stage for the advance screening of the spin-off episode. The cast members: Uchiyama Yumi, Sugita Tomokazu, Kakuma Ai, and Namikawa Daisuke expressed their enthusiasm and joy. What kind of drama and adventures will unfold in the second season for Rudeus? Stay tuned for more information on the broadcast schedule and other details.

The first three volumes of the first season of the television anime “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation” Blu-ray edition are currently available for purchase. The fourth volume, which includes the spin-off unaired episode “Eris’ Goblin Subjugation’ as bonus content, will be released on March 16th, 2022.
