The collaboration between the anime “One Piece” and the food delivery app “menu” starts on March 1st. The content includes “One Piece Restaurant”, a delivery service specializing in serving meals inspired by the anime series.

“One Piece”, the animation series, is based on Oda Eiichiro’s hit manga “One Piece” which is serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” and has sold 490 million copies worldwide (as of July, 2021). It depicts a romantic ocean adventure about the one great treasure called “One Piece”. The television anime started broadcasting in October, 1999 and on November 21st, 2021, the aired episode marked its 1,000th episode of the series. In addition, the latest movie adaptation “ONEPIECE FILM RED” will be released on August 6th, 2022 as the fourth installment of the “ONE PIECE FILM” series with the original author Oda Eiichiro as the general producer. The film will be directed by Taniguchi Goro of the “Code Geass” series.

“One Piece Restaurant” will open inside the “menu” app with approximately 30 stores nationwide. It features a lineup of 11 dishes that can only be ordered through the delivery order.

For example, the “Straw Hat Pirate Bento” is an omelet rice dish inspired by Luffy’s straw hat, topped with roast beef and long sausage. The dish is made with an emphasis on adding more meat, making it a “pirate” lunch box.

The drink “Macedonia for the Lady” was inspired by the dessert Sanji served to Nami. It is a soothing dish of colorful fruits swimming in soda with an enjoyable appearance to look at and delicious to eat.

All of the menu items are packed with ingenuity that is only possible with delivery, the packaging material uses the latest material that focuses on the theme “delicious food after 30 minutes”. In order to recreate the realistic representation of cartoon meat, there were some concerns with numerous times of trial and error to consider the lack of durability and the large bones that might be dangerous for children.

A gacha campaign will be held during the period. If you order a meal delivery and leave a review in the “One Piece Restaurant”, you will receive a One Piece limited edition medal in the “menu” app. The medal can be used for the limited time gacha. The prizes from the gacha include original T-shirts and bath towels.

“One Piece Restaurant Stickers” with newly drawn designs (8 kinds in total) will be given to you if you order food from the “One Piece Restaurant”. In addition, meals will be delivered with a limited time sleeve. For more details, please check the special website.
