To Takehara, the sacred place of “Tamayura”! Johnny’s No.1 anime fan Miyata Toshiya’s “Sacred Place Trip” program broadcast

Miyata Toshiya from Kis-My-Ft2 will travel to Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, which is the sacred place of the anime “Tamayura”. After the broadcast on January 29, 2022, for general TV and the Chugoku region, it will also be distributed on “NHK Plus” until February 12.

“Tamayura” is a heartwarming anime set in Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture that depicts the daily lives of Sawatari Fuu, a high school girl who loves photography, and the people around her. After the TV series “Tamayura: Hitotose” was broadcast in 2011, the season 2 “Tamayura: More Aggressive” was in 2013. The final “Tamayura ~Sotsugyou Shashin~” consisted of 4 parts that were gradually released from 2015.

“The trip to a sacred anime place – to the stage of Hiroshima ‘Tamayura'” is a program in which Miyata Toshiya of Kis-My-Ft2 travels to Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture, to a sacred place from anime that he longed to. Takehara has been selected as the stage for “Tamayura” for the fourth consecutive year from 2018 to 2021 as the “Japanese Anime Sacred Places I Want to Visit” decided by voting from anime fans around the world.

The anime “Tamayura” is said to be a work that heald Miyata after his debut in Kis-My-Ft2. Miyata explores the town that was the stage while shooting with the camera used by the characters in the anime. In addition to rediscovering the charm while touching the relieved townscape and the feelings of the people who live there, he also had a special encounter with Takehara under the guidance of director Sato Junichi, who worked on “Tamayura”. It’s going to be a journey with humanity and history.

“The trip to a sacred anime place – to the stage of Hiroshima ‘Tamayura'” will be broadcast on January 29 at 10:40 P.M. for general TV and the Chugoku region.

Takehara is a really nice cityscape. I watched every scenery from anime, so it’s irresistible for fans.
Perhaps even those who haven’t watched anime will feel like they have slipped back in time.
There are many things that made me feel nostalgic, and I have good encounters, so I’m sure it’s a fun town no matter who will come there. I felt that it was a town that would accept anyone.
