The international animation festival ‘Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2022’ (held from March 11 to March 14, 2022) on January 6 at 5 pm, has opened the voting for the the Anime Fan Award in the “Anime of the Year Category”.
In ‘Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2022’, or TAAF 2022, the winner for the ‘Anime Fan Award’ for the “Anime of the Year Category” will be selected among all the 446 works released and broadcast in the year 2021 (from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2021).
Out of the works selected for ‘Minna ga Erabu Best 100 (Best 100 Works Selected by Fans)’ (consisting of 80 TV works and 20 films), fans will have voting again to select the winner for the “Anime Fan Award”, the most loved work of 2021.
The past winners include ‘Danball Senki Wars’ for TAAF 2014, movie ‘Tiger & Bunny: The Rising’ for TAAF 2015, ‘Gintama’ for TAAF 2016, ‘Yuri!!! On ICE’ for TAAF 2018, ‘BANANA FISH’ for TAAF 2019, movie ‘Uta no Prince-sama: Maji LOVE Kingdom’ for TAAF 2020, and last year in TAAF 2021, ‘IDOLiSH7 Second BEAT!’ won the award.
