“The Duel”, one of the projects of “Star Wars: Visions”, an original animated short film collection of “Disney Plus”, has been nominated for the “49th Annie Awards” in the Best Television/Media – General Audience category.
“Star Wars: Visions” is a series of nine animated shorts by seven Japanese animation studios, each with their own “vision” of “Star Wars”.
Nominated for the 49th Annual Annie Awards in Best Television/Media – General Audience category is “The Duel,” produced by Kamikaze Douga, creator of the animated TV series “Pop Team Epic” and the animated film “Ninja Batman”.
“The Duel” is an “edge-of-the-world Star Wars” story that begins when a ronin traveling with a droid stops by a village that has been the victim of severe violence by a group of bandits.
The 49th Annie Awards will be held at the University of California, Los Angeles on February 26, 2022.
