The outline and sneak peek of episode 8 “Last Bullet” from “Lupin the Third Part 6” (Broadcast on December 5) have been revealed. The story of this episode was handled by the novelist Higuchi Akio, and it depicts the hard-boiled story of Jigen Daisuke and the “Compact Magnum”.

“Lupin the Third Part 6” has the theme of “mystery” and series composition is handled by Okura Takahiro, the script writer of various anime and tokusatsu as well as an author of the mystery novels that have gotten a video adaptation. Also, special guests from the fiction and animation industries, such as Tsuji Masaki, Ashibe Taku, Higuchi Akio, Minato Kanae, and Oshii Mamoru, participated in the screenplay for the omnibus stories, making this gorgeous anime perfect for the anniversary.

The title of episode 8 is “Last Bullet”.
Three years ago… the young boy, Kenny, who is attending the boarding school at Scotland, has a faint affection toward his classmate Lily.
However, one day, during the school trip to an art museum, Lily was almost kidnapped by someone. Then, Kenny encountered a mysterious man who protects Lily behind the scenes. Fearing for Lily’s safety, Holmes decided to take her away from the school…

The script of this episode is handled by the novelist Higuchi Akio, who debuted with “Lupin the Third: Senjou wa Freeway” (Futabasha Bunko) in 1967 and had handled various Lupin related novels and gamebooks afterward. Looking back on the writing of this episode, he said, “Of course, I put all my energy into writing it,” and sent a message to his fans, “We’re going to deliver the coolest, hard-boiled story to you! I hope you enjoy it!”
