‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie’ (release date: 12/24/2021) announced to have IMAX screenings in addition to the regular screenings. A new visual was released for the IMAX screening, showing the three special-grade sorcerers ー Yuta Okkotsu, Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto.

The TV anime ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is based on a manga of the same title, which is currently serialized in Shueisha’s ‘Weekly Shonen Jump’. The serialization started in March 2018. The story follows Jujutsu sorcerers, who fight against cursed spirits born within the negative emotions of humans. The total copies in circulation reached 55 million with 17 volumes published so far.
The upcoming movie, release date scheduled for December 24th, will be the first film to be made from the series. The story is based on ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Jujutsu High’, a prequel to the main series known as Volume 0.

The IMAX screenings will start on December 24th on the same day as regular screenings. With IMAX added, the movie will be available in 418 theaters nationwide (as of December 2nd).
In addition to the announcement, they released a new visual for the IMAX screenings. The art shows the protagonist Yuta Okkotsu, the strongest sorcerer Satoru Gojo, and Suguru Geto, the worst-of-all curse user and the greatest villain in this film. The special visual features the eyes of the three special-grade sorcerers.

‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie’ will be released on December 24th. Visitors can enjoy high resolution images and high-precision sound with the IMAX screenings.
