“GUNDAM Café Costume COLLECTION ~2021 Autumn~” has started at “Gundam” official cafe “GUNDAM Café”. In the event, the characters chosen by the fans appear in the “GUNDAM Café” costumes. The event will be held for 40 days from October 22 to November 30, 2021, and the menu that the characters were eating in the episodes have been faithfully reproduced and will be offered at the TOKYO BRAND CORE branch.

“GUNDAM Café Costume COLLECTION ~2021 Autumn~” is an event, where the characters chosen at “Who wears the GUNDAM Café costumes!? Great Poll” are featured in the newly drawn illustrations.

Together with Amuro Ray and Quattro Bajeena from “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam”, Garma Zabi from “Mobile Suit Gundam”, Banagher Links from “Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn”, and Hathaway Noa from “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” will appear in the “GUNDAM Café” costumes.

In the cafes during the period, visual boards featuring the characters in the costumes will be displayed at the entrance or in front of the cashier as “GUNDAM Café Greeting”. The performance will make you feel as if the characters were actually welcoming the customers. The characters’ visual boards will be set up in different styles each day, which will allow you to enjoy different in-store performances every time you visit the cafe.

Furthermore, special compilation of footage that covers the 6 characters’ famous scenes will be screened at GUNDAM SQUARE, which is the restaurant area of the TOKYO BRAND CORE branch.

As the limited-period menu at the TOKYO BRAND CORE branch, “Saigen-Shoku (lit. Reproduced Meal)”, which allows you to have the same meals as the pilots, will be offered. The “Saigen-Shoku” has been produced under the supervision of Sunrise, which is in charge of production of the Gundam series, by taking several factors into consideration such as “size of ingredients”, “amount”, “serving layout”, “texture of plates”, and “historical background” from the eating scenes.

For instance, “Federation Forces Supply Meal”, which is the Saigen-Shoku of “Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team”, was produced by considering the vegetables cut into chunks, serving layout, and texture of the plate from part of the opening scene. Right after the scene, the soldier looks discouraged as much to say “In spite of my hard work, I am fed only this amount”. The ingredients were assumed from such an expression, and the meal was reproduced with strong flavors to achieve a higher level of satisfaction, just like actual military meals.

The Gundam Square branch will offer only the reproduced drink from “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash”, and Odaiba and Fukuoka branches offer the characters-inspired drinks.
