It was announced that the broadcast of TV anime “Kingdom” season 4 is scheduled for spring 2022 along with release of the teaser visual depicting the sinister smile of the second prince Sei Kyou.
“Kingdom” is based on the Chinese warring states taiga heroic tale manga by Hara Yasuhisa that is currently being serialized on “Weekly Young Jump”. The manga is set in the spring and the autumn of the Warring Periods of China, and it depicts the activities of Shin, who wants to become the greatest warlord and young Ei Sei, who later becomes Qin Shi Huang.
The season 1 of the TV anime was broadcast from June 2012 to February 2013, season 2 from June 2013 to March 2014, and the season 3 that depicts the largest war in the history of “Kingdom”, “Coalition Arc” was broadcast in April 2021.
The broadcast date of season 4, which is on spring 2022, was announced at the end of episode 26 “Another Path” of season 3 that was broadcast on October 17.
Along with the announcement, the teaser visual with the caption of “Next is my turn.” and the imposing stance of Sei Kyou with a sinister smile, has been released. This visual gives off the premonition of a new disturbance of the Qin kingdom after overcoming the country crisis from the coalition war.
After the historical greatest war of “Coalition Arc” in season 3, the next chapter of “Kingdom”, which is season 4, is scheduled for spring 2022.
