To commemorate the release of “Sword Art Online the Movie: Progressive – Aria of a Starless Night”, the first TV broadcast of “Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale” has been announced. It will be broadcast at 1:45 AM – 4:25 AM, October 31 (Sunday) on Fuji TV Kanto Local

“Sword Art Online Movie: Ordinal Scale” is a completely new story by the original author Kawahara Reki that was released in February 2017, and it is the first movie of the anime “Sword Art Online” series.

The story takes place in 2026, where the wearable multi-device “Augma” that is equipped with an amazing AR system is a hot item, and it depicts the battle of Kirito and others in the “Ordinal Scale”, the RPG of Augma. This movie was a big hit as it recorded a total of 2.5 billion JPY for the box revenue in Japan. In terms of the worldwide results, it has a total of 2.92 million audiences and 4.2 billion JPY of box revenue.
