Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the TV Anime “Hunter X Hunter”, illustration created by character designer Yoshimatsu Takahiro were released. The voice actresses Han Megumi (Gon), and Ise Mariya (Killua) commented on the series anniversary.

“Hunter X Hunter” is originally a manga by Togashi Yoshihiro that began serialization on “Weekly Shone Jump”, and tells the story of young boys in an epic adventure. Following his father’s footsteps, with the goal of eventually finding him, the protagonist Gon sets out to pass the Hunter Exam, and there he is joined by his new comrades Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika. The touching tale follows them as they explore a “unknown” world.

The TV anime was broadcasted from October 2011 to September 2014 by Nippon TV and other networks. While keeping faithful to the original manga plot, the series depicted a new “Hunter World”, gathering the support from a large fanbase.

The released “10th Anniversary Illustration” was specially made by the character designer Yoshimatsu Takahiro celebrating the TV anime “Hunter X Hunter” which completes 10 years since its premiere in October 2021. The protagonist Gon and his best friend Killua smile while holding on their hands the number 10 made with “Nen”. Leorio, Kurapika, and Hisoka also participate in this celebration.

Celebrating the series 10th anniversary, Han Megumi, the role of the protagonist Gon, referred to the series as “This is series where everything began for me, and will forever be part of my origins.
I can’t believe 10 years have already passed since I got to stand at that starting point.”. And voicing Gon’s best friend, Killua, Ise Mariya commented “The reason why I was able to live my life as a voice actress was because I encountered Hunter X Hunter when I was 14 years old. Who could have imagined that ten years later, a mere Killua fangirl would end up voicing him at the age of 24 …That’s a dreamlike story, isn’t it (laughs)”.

TV anime “Hunter X Hunter” is currently being rebroadcast at Nippon TV’s “Anichu” block. It is also available at “Hulu” and other online streaming services.

This is series where everything began for me, and will forever be part of my origins.
I can’t believe 10 years have already passed since I got to stand at that starting point.
It was thanks to the many encounters as a Hunter that I learned a lot of valuable life lessons.
It’s also thanks to everyone else that the series stood the test of time.
I wish to say thank you to everyone and everything that has happened so far.
