Fall Anime “Sakugan” ― “Project ANIMA”‘s Original Work Has Finally Started! Adventurous Mecha Action of Father and Daughter Is Kicked Off ―― Ep.1 Sneak Peek
From the fall anime “Sakugan”, the outline and sneak peek of episode 1 “FATHERS&DAUGHTERS” (broadcast on Thursday, October 7, 2021), have been revealed.
“Sakugan” is produced as part of “Project ANIMA”, which aims to create original anime works that represent the 2020s. The adventurous mecha action follows a gifted girl Memenpu and her father Gagumber traveling across an undeveloped area called “the Labyrinth” and underground cities called “colonies” separated by rock.
Episode 1 is titled “FATHERS&DAUGHTERS”.
While living as a “Worker” in an asian-style colony “Pinyin” full of colorful neon lights and covered in smog, Memenpu has a dream of becoming a “Marker” and traveling outside the colony. On the night of the annual festival, Walsh and Lynda, a father and daughter, who are Markers and old friends of Gagumber & Memenpu r that are living as old-school Markers, return from a trip…
