“Higurashi When They Cry” is originally a horror mystery novel game by Ryukishi 07/07th Expansion. It depicts the mysterious incidents in the remote village, Hinamizawa-mura, in the early summer of Showa 58 (1983).
In the last broadcast, Episode 7 “Curse-Revealing Chapter, Part 1”, Rika despairs that she can’t stop the tragedy no matter how many times she restarts the world, and Hanyuu, who is heartbroken, is also tormented by his own helplessness.
As the world restarts again, Rika’s best friend Satoko gently warns her as she sheds tears…
