The novel “Love All Play”, about high school students who devote their youth to badminton, will be adapted into an anime to be aired on Yomiuri and Nippon Television networks in the spring of 2022.

“Love All Play” is based on a novel of the same title by Koseki Asami. It is the story of Mizushima Ryo, a badminton player who was a nobody in junior high school, but aims to win the Inter-High School Competition and grows up to become a top athlete.

Badminton, the subject of the story, boasts a playing population of about 7.5 million (according to 2016 survey data by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications), and is actually a more popular sport than soccer and tennis.
The title of the anime is “Love All Play,” the signal for the start of a match, and the anime passionately and refreshingly depicts the sense of speed of badminton, which is said to be the “fastest sport in the world” because the initial speed of a smash exceeds 400 km/h, and the “heart-pounding excitement” of high school students who grow up while spending time with their friends and families, which aims to generate a buzz of badminton.

“Love All Play” will be aired on Yomiuri and Nippon Television networks in the spring of 2022.
