Comic Market Preparation Committee has announced that “Comic Market 99” will be held from December 30 to 31, at East, West, and South Exhibition Halls of Tokyo Big Sight, on August 2, 2021. Due to this announcement, “Comiket Opening” has become a trend on Twitter.
“Comic Market (also known as Comiket)” has its “Comiket 98”, which was planned on the Golden Week of 2020, canceled, and “Comiket 99”, which was planned in December, got delayed to May 2021. After that, it was announced that the May “Comiket 99” was delayed for the second time.
On the official website of “Comiket”, the preparation committee has commented “There are still various unknown factors remaining and with the high number of infection cases recently, but we have decided to announced that the Comic Market 99 of winter 2021 (hereafter known as ‘New99’) will be held as there are various preparation periods, such as the circle application period and set-up” together with the new schedule of “Comiket 99”.
After seeing this announcement, it has received huge feedback as “Comiket Opening” has become a trend on Twitter.
Some of the comments from the fans are “So Comiket has been decided. I am quite happy on this”, “Comiket has been decided!! I have to finish with the vaccination before that!”, “So, Comiket will be held at this year. It has been 2 years… I think there is a limitation on the normal participation and since we are still unsure whether we can return to our hometown or not, so I want to support it”, and “Comiket at the end of the year! We are unsure what would happen before that, but it has given me a sufficient meaning of living if I am able to enjoy “that daily life” again.”
“Comic Market 99” will be held from December 30 to 31, at East, West, and South Exhibition Halls of Tokyo Big Sight.
