At Digi Fes 2021, the new title for TV anime was announced to be “Digimon Ghost Game” and its visual was released together. Moreover, the setting illustration for Digimons and the production of the new movie of “02” series (Daisuke’s generation) was announced.

New TV anime “Digimon Ghost Game”

From fall 2021 on Fuji TV, the latest “Digimon” series called “Digimon Ghost Game” will start. “Digimon” series kept updating its content in various styles, including the movies, TV shows, and games, and now the new series with completely new story and characters will be produced this time.

Moreover, in addition to the announcement of new series, the teaser visual was released as well. On the visual, 3 children with the silhouette of digimons behind them are depicted. The Digimons revealed this time are Gammamon, Jerrymon, and Angoramon, and they are specially designed for the new series. Their specific abilities have not yet been released.

Who are those 3 Digimons? How are they going to interact with 3 children? Also, what are “hologram” and “ghost” on the visual? There are many mysteries to be solved, but please look forward to the further announcement to be made.

New movie for “Digimon Adventure 02”

Another animation work is the new movie depicting the story of Motomiya Daisuke in “Digimon Adventure 02”, which was broadcast in 2000. The special video and teaser visual were released this time, but only information being revealed were the names of Taguchi Tomohisa and Yamatoya Akatsuki, who were the main staff of “LAST REVOLUTION -Kizuna-“, and the “02” copy and mysterious lines. The visual includes the unknown character and a Digimon. The release date is not announced yet, so please do look forward to it.

The main characters are those from “02”! Daisuke and others have different charms from Taichi, and because we are in such a difficult situation, I want to express that so strongly. The characters revealed at this point are unknown boy and a Digimon with mysterious lines, not Daisuke and others…I ordered the design to Watabe Kenji-san, who is one of the mothers of Digimon ideas! How does that going to have importance in the future? The project is still in the beginning step, so please look forward to the completion even though it takes some more time!
