The 2nd movie of “Sumikko Gurashi”, called “Sumikko Gurashi Movie 2: Aoi Tsukiyo no Mahou no Ko” (Lit. Sumikko Gurashi the Movie 2: A Magical Child of the Blue Moonlit Night) will be released in November 2021, in Japan. The teaser for this movie was released for the first time, and the new characters for this movie, “One”, “Two”, “Three”, “Four”, and “Five” have been revealed.

“Sumikko Gurashi” has the theme of “I can relax for some reason if I am in the corner (sumikko)”, and it features the slight negative yet unique characters. The world setting of this work has charmed both children and adults, and the first anime movie, called “Sumikko Gurashi Movie 1: Tobidasu Ehon to Himitsu no Ko” (Lit. Sumikko Gurashi The Movie – The Pop-up Book and the Secret Child) that was released in 2019 had become a big hit with over 1.2 million audiences.

The appearance of the Sumikko going camping can be seen in the teaser. The situation when they rode the train, surrounding the campfire, and their sleep appearance in the sleeping bag are depicted warmly. Also, the new characters, which are the legendary magician brothers, “One”, “Two”, “Three’, “Four”, “Five” can be seen in the teaser as well.

They are the legendary magician brothers that will appear on the day of the full blue moon. However, the youngest “Five” is unable to use the magic skillfully yet. What exactly will happen when “One”, “Two”, “Three”, “Four”, and “Five” encounter the Sumikko?

“Sumikko Gurashi Movie 2: Aoi Tsukiyo no Mahou no Ko” will be released in November 2021, in Japan. The movie tickets will be available from July 16, and the novelty for it is the rubber key holder of the new character “Five”.
