From the TV anime “The Detective Is Already Dead,” Episode 1 was broadcasted on Sunday, July 4, 2021. The synopsis and advanced scene cuts of the first episode “Attention Passengers: Is There A Detective on Board?” have been released.

“The Detective Is Already Dead” is based on a light novel currently being published by KADOKAWA. This work won the 15th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Award (Grand Prize).
The protagonist, Kimizuka Kimihiko, met the brilliant and masterful detective, Siesta, 10,000 meters in the sky, and they had a dazzling adventure that lasted for three years…and death tore them apart.
The detective is already dead. But the story continues. This is the story of an assistant who loses a great detective and rises again.

The title of the first episode is “Attention Passengers: Is There A Detective on Board?/ Romantic Comedy in Youth Started Arc.”
The story begins when a plane flying 10,000 meters in the air is hijacked.
A young boy, Kimizuka Kimihiko, is assigned as an assistant by a mysterious girl, Siesta, who calls herself a detective, and goes into the cockpit.

There, a man who goes by the code name “Bat” takes the captain of the plane hostage. As a condition for the release of the hostage, Bat demands that Siesta deduce the “reason why he took over the plane”……
