Japan’s largest review service on films, dramas, and anime, “Filmarks” has announced the survey “Filmarks’s Anticipated Ranking for Summer 2021 Anime” based on the data in their service.
Based on the amount of “Clip!”, which is the number of users registered the anime to their to-watch list, “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2” took the first place, followed by “Biohazard: Infinite Darkness” in second place and “Uramichi Oniisan” in the third place.
The 1st place is “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 2”. This is the second part of the season 2 of the reincarnation entertainment that depicts the main protagonist, who reincarnated as a slime in another world, increasing his friends with his skill, knowledge, and bravery. It has a total of 944 “Clip!”.
The 2nd place is “Biohazard: Infinite Darkness”. This is a Netflix original anime series and first consecutive CG drama adaptation of the survival horror game “Biohazard”, where survival is depending on the weapon and item in the desperate situations. It has a total of 928 “Clip!”.
The 3rd place is “Uramichi Oniisan”. The main protagonist is a gymnastics coach on the educational program “Together with Mama” and it depicts a “retrospective” tragic eulogy for the child that has become an adult. It has a total of 759 “Clip!”.
The 4th place is “Higurashi: When They Cry – Sotsu” with 532 Clip! and “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X” in 5th place with 491 Clip!.
The top 10 also include “Sonny Boy”, “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S”, “Aquatope of White Sand”, “The Duke of Death and His Maid”, and “The Case Study of Vanitas”.
