The 2nd work of director Okada Mari, known as the scriptwriter of “Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day”, “Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou” has been decided. The teaser movie and visual have been released.

This is the 2nd work of the director Okada Mari, who is highly praised worldwide as her first film “Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms” as a director that has received the Golden Goblet Award for Best Animation Film at the “21st Shanghai International Film Festival”, Best Feature Length Film in the Fantastic Discovery section at the “51st Sitges Film Festival”, etc.

This film has reassembled the main staff of “Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms” as the assistant director is Hiramatsu Tadashi, character designer & general animation director is Ishii Yuriko, and the art director is Higashiji Kazuki.
Also, the animation production will be handled by MAPPA, who is known for the animation production of “Jujutsu Kaisen” and the film “In This Corner of the World”, and this is the first original film for MAPPA.

Currently the information on the cast members and release date are yet to be announced, so do look forward to the future announcements.

The story of “Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Koujou” depicts the fate and fight of the teenagers, who are struggling in the shady world, using their “feeling of love” as the weapon. Together with this reliable team of staff, we will challenge this while keeping our feet on the ground and pursuing an animation film that can only be created by this team. There is still a long way to go before it is completed, but I want to show it to everyone as soon as possible.
