In “Juju Fes 2021”, the “Jujutsu Kaisen” special event that was held on June 13, 2021, it was announced that “Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie” will be in theaters from December 24, 2021. Together with the announcement, the teaser visual was revealed.
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is based on the manga with the same title by Akutami Gege currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”. It received a TV anime series in October 2020, and the total number of comic books in circulation has exceeded 50 million copies. (as of June 2021)
The first “Jujutsu Kaisen” film, “Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie” is a prequel to “Jujutsu Kaisen”, and is based on “Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School”, a short series by Akutami Gege before he started the main series. It has also been published as a comic book titled “Vol. 0” and has become an unusually big hit for a single-volume comic.
The teaser visual depicts the protagonist Okkotsu Yuuta and a girl who holds hands with him. And in front of them is a huge, horrifying figure of a curse… The two of them weave the “origin story” of “Jujutsu Kaisen” and the ultimate “story of love and curse”.
“Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie” will be in theaters from December 24, 2021.
