The release of the movie “Belle” is scheduled on July 16, 2021. This time, the group of musicians “millennium parade”, lead by the musician Tsuneta Daiki, will participate in the movie. Moreover, the teaser movie with the main theme song “U” was revealed as well.

Suzu, a 17-year old high school girl who lives with her father in a rural area of Kochi Prefrecture after losing her mother when she was a child, participates in the gigantic internet world “U” as the singer “Belle”. The story begins to progress when she meets the mysterious existence, “Dragon”.

The group of musicians called millennium parade, which is lead by the musician Tsuneta Daiki, will participate in the movie this time. millennium parade are gathering attention for providing new perspective on values by collaborating with global brands like adidas and DIOR, and handling the theme song for “Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045”.
This tag team was formed with the offer from the director, who believed, “Tsuneta-san’s music was indispensable to express the gigantic internet world “U” with music”.

Tsuneta, who was a big fan of Hosoda’s movies, accepted the offer immediately because he was moved by the delicate designs drawn by the director. Tsuneta wrote and composed the main theme of the movie, which will be played in the opening scene where the protagonist Belle/Suzu, who is played by Nakamura Kaho, is singing in the gigantic internet world called “U”.

When the director Hosoda showed me his sketch of “Belle”, I remember how the sound of that world automatically started to flow inside me.
I used my full power to produce this music, since this is for the latest movie by the director Hosoda Mamoru that I have favored since my childhood.
Moreover, since the actor for the protagonist “Belle” is Nakamura Kaho, known to be “the Treasure of Japanese Music Industry”, the production was very exciting. This will be great both as a movie and music, so please enjoy it in the theaters.

I am glad to work together with Tsuneta-san, because I have only seen him in the concerts. I was nervous since this was the first time for both of us to collaborate, but we seek for the balance, while looked for our passion when recording under the theme of “Belle”. I enjoyed it a lot.
Our generation was just at the beginning of the internet, but now anyone can enjoy by watching and listening to what they think is cool, and this time I thought about what is the solution for what shocks people now through this movie. I thought that was the theme for the movie, but I tried not to overthink and enjoyed it like I surf the wave.
