Disney’s first “remote recording”! Behind-the-scenes video of the cast recording in their home closet, re-recording due to cat’s interruption
The MovieNEX and 4K UHD MovieNEX of ’Raya and the Last Dragon’, a spectacle fantasy film by Disney Animation will be released on May 21, 2021. Ahead of the release, a video where the voice actors working on Disney Animation’s first “remote recording” has been released.
’Raya and the Last Dragon’ takes place in a kingdom that used to be protected by sacred dragons in ancient times. The dragons sacrificed themselves to protect their land when the kingdom was attacked by evil spirits. However, the people left without dragons slowly lost their beliefs.
500 years later, the evil spirits attack the kingdom again. Raya, who is the daughter of the tribe guards ‘the Stone of the Dragons’, begins her adventure to revive the “Last Dragon” who had disappeared a long time ago and bring back peace to the land.
The voice recording was done remotely for the first time as a Disney Animation film.
The video released this time contains the scenes of the remote recording and staff interviews from the bonus contents included in the MovieNEX. Fans can enjoy the must-see scenes of the voice actors such as recording in their closets at home, setting up a soundproofing tent in their living rooms, and having to re-record due to their cat’s interruption.
The prices will be 4,950 JPY (tax included) for the MovieNEX of ’Raya and the Last Dragon’ and the 4K UHD MovieNEX, and both will be released on May 21st.
