Form the TV anime “Kingdom”, the outline and scenes from episode 2 “Ichidou ni Kaisu” (A Coming Together), broadcast on Sunday, April 11, 2021, were released in advance.
“Kingdom” is a Chinese war-time historical drama based on the manga by Hara Yasuhisa, serialized in “Weekly Young Jump”. Set in China in the Warring States period, the story depicts, Shin (Xin), the boy who aims to become a “Great General of the Heavens”, and the young king Ei Sei (Ying Zheng), who later becomes the first emperor.
The 1st season of the TV anime was broadcast on NHK BS Premium from June 2021 to February 2013, followed by a 2nd season from June 2013 to March 2014. The 3rd season depicting the “Coalition Invasion Arc”, which is said to be the largest scaled battle in “Kingdom”, started in April 2020, but the broadcast of episode 5 and on had been delayed. The season restarted on April 4, 2021, restarting from episode 1.
Episode 2 is titled “Ichidou ni Kaisu”.
The “Coalition Army” of the six warring states starts its attack on Qin. To break through the crisis, the Head of Military Affairs, Shou Hei Kun (Lord Changping), tries to encourage Qi to separate from the Coalition Army.
Meanwhile, the Hi Shin Unit (Fei Xin Force), still not being able to grasp the situation, catches up to Wei’s forces in the land of “Raigen”. There they see Qin’s forces put up a good fight against a large army led by the great general of Wei, Go Hou Mei (Wu Feng Ming), with only a small number of troops. The troops were led by the great general Hyou Kou (Lord Biao), who Shin (Xin) once fought under.
“Kingdom” Episode 2 “Ichidou ni Kaisu” was broadcast on NHK General TV from 0:10 a.m. on April 12, 2021.
