Saito Souma (Adam)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
It’s a very passionate and magnificent story, and I felt its extraordinary energy. I started reading it at the time of the audition, but I was so hooked that I read it all at once. Every battle has its own drama, and even when you think it’s settled, it’s not over yet. I love how the story changes rapidly with each page. The characters who haven’t fought yet are all fascinating, and as a reader, I’m looking forward to reading more!

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
At first glance, it is difficult to understand what Adam is thinking, and he seems to be a dullard, but I think he is actually a person with deep and warm affection. He has very few lines, so I hope you can feel his subtleties even in those lines. Speaking of “Record of Ragnarok”, the most impressive part is the tremendous battle scenes. I’m looking forward to seeing the physical battle with Zeus!

Yamaji Kazuhiro (as Sasaki Kojiro)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
God versus man! What a psychedelic theme (although many people may be too old to understand what it is).
And why is “Sasaki Kojiro” here?
Well, this old man never ceases to amaze me.

Q2: What do you think of the character you are playing and how enthusiastic are you about the role?
I’m so grateful to have found this role!
Long live Kojiro.

Sakurai Takahiro (Poseidon)
Q1: What do you think of this anime?
I thought it was a very interesting work with a uniquely Japanese approach that is not bound by the image of God.
The match-ups between gods and humans are austere, and the way the victories and defeats are portrayed is amazing, and the drama of the characters through their struggles is exciting!

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
He is an arrogant, painfully cold character. Poseidon is the ruthless embodiment of the idea that gods are gods, with dark, murderous eyes.
I want to do my best to express his overwhelming power.

Suwabe Junichi (Hermes)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
A titanic battle between various gods from all over the world, ancient and modern, and humans who have left their names as the strongest in history. I thought it was a work with a very high level of passion.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
Hermes is a Greek mythological god who is known as a trickster. In this film, he is also a very mysterious and elusive being. As a piece of the story, I would like to contribute to the excitement of the work.

Nozuyama Yukihiro (Heimdall)
Q1: What do you think of this anime?
Just from the title and synopsis, I couldn’t stop being excited! I was drawn in more and more by the characters who appeared one after another, representing gods and humanity.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
Heimdall plays the role of a play-by-play man, but at the same time, he himself genuinely enjoys watching the battles. I want to do my best to bring you a passionate confrontation between gods and mankind!

Hayama Shou (Odin)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
The situation where heroes from all eras and mythologies come together is exciting.
I think it’s a work that gives you a sense of realism and excitement because of its large range of ridiculousness.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
I had the impression that he was strong and dignified.
If you have read the original story, you know that he is a quiet character.
I poured my heart and soul into how to bring out Odin’s character in the few lines I had to say.

Suzuki Tatsuhisa (Shiva)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
Since this is a tie-up between gods and humans, I thought it was a work with a lot of layers of feelings.
I also thought that this work would be energizing to read, because each person has a strong character and all of them have a high level of passion.
When I was cast, my heart leapt with joy because I could understand the passion of the characters because I had read them.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you are going to play and how do you feel about the role?
He is belligerent and has a personality like split bamboo.
At the moment, I try to think in my mind that I’m going to blow everyone away (laughs).
I don’t want to lose to anyone in regards to enthusiasm.

Tanaka Rie (Aphrodite)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
Once every 1000 years, all the gods of the world gather together and hold a parliamentary meeting to decide whether or not to annihilate the human race. The majority vote decides to annihilate the human race, but Brunnhilde puts up a fight, and at her suggestion, a tie-up between humanity and the gods is decided. The tiebreaker is a game of 13 rounds, and if you win 7 rounds, you can postpone the annihilation of humanity until the next congress, but if you lose, you will be annihilated. The human side is Ryofu, the strongest of the Three Kingdoms, and the god side is Thor from Norse mythology. If you like history or mythology, I recommend it because you will see many famous people from those areas.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how enthusiastic are you about the role?
Aphrodite is just a fascinating person. She is the goddess of beauty in Greek mythology. Her breasts are so big that she can’t support herself, so when I saw her being supported by a support person, I honestly found it amusing and laughed. I would like to play her in such a way that viewers will find her attractive.

Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (as Loki)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
A battle between gods and humans is too reckless to be considered normal.
However, I found it very interesting that the great people and heroes of the past sometimes had powers that rivaled the gods.
The battles are also very powerful, and it makes you sit on the edge of your seat.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
I think Loki is described in mythology as a very crooked person, but I don’t know what he is really thinking.
Is he just having fun or is there really something else going on?
I played up the creepiness of this character.

Tadokoro Hinata (Ares)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
It’s an intense battle manga that every man would love!
It’s a battle that seems reckless if you only look at the words, Gods vs. humans.
But as the story progresses, it makes you wonder if humans can win too! Once you read it, you won’t be able to stop!

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
I played the role of Ares, the god of war. I went into the scene with a lot of ideas about how to play the role, but the sound director, Ebina-san, told me to be more muscular and brainy, so I just recorded it as a muscular idiot who sees things straight (lol).
But in a sense, it was difficult to bring out the emotions of such a pure character.

Nakano Taisuke (as Huginn)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
It’s bloody and exciting.
When we live, we are often overwhelmed by unreasonable things, but the human beings who stand up to the gods all push us forward. Don’t lose, don’t give up. The power to live and the power to resist becomes a tremendous heat that runs through the bodies of the readers and viewers. I think this work is full of hope.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
My impression of Huginn is that he is, as the old saying goes, “Somewhat unlikeable. Yamaguchi-san, who plays the role of Muninn, and I discussed to what extent he is a “bird” and to what extent he is a supernatural being as we created the role.
Although he stands proudly on Odin’s shoulders, he reacts honestly to the horror of the gods and the power of human beings. I was conscious of expressing the back and forth between the big attitude and the small balls of the body as a bird.

Yamaguchi Tomohiro (Muninn)
Q1: What is your impression of this anime?
I read the original story when I received the offer, and before I knew it, I had read through the latest volume.
The battle scenes where the souls of gods and humans collide are very cool, and I can’t wait to see the characters full of individuality in the animation.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and how do you feel about the role?
I thought she was really cute!
I’m part of a pair of ravens accompanying Lord Odin, and I got to speak instead of Odin! LOL!
Although I am one part of a pair of ravens, I hope I can play my role in a way that brings out the charm of Muninn, who is different from Huginn, emotionally rich and somehow lovable.

Comment from Shimajii
My name is Shimajii, and I’m in charge of the ending theme. Thank you very much.
It was impossible for me not to be moved by “Gods vs. humanity”, and I was captivated by it.
I wrote the song based on the image of Adam, my favorite character, and my ally, the Nanahoshi Orchestra, participated in the arrangement.
Both the anime and the song are “inevitable” for your viewing pleasure.
