“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” (released on March 8, 2021) has recorded a 3.3 billion JPY in terms of gross revue with a total of 2.19 million audiences on its first week since the release on Monday. Also, the scenes of the “third village” from the movie have been revealed.
“Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time” is the latest as well as the finale of the “Rebuild of Evangelion” series, which was released in 2007 and it is the sequel to “You Are (Not) Alone”, “You Can (Not) Advance.”, and “You Can (Not) Redo”.
After being postponed several times, it was finally released nationwide on March 8 after undergoing the steps need to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The gross revenue result on the first weekend (March 13 and March 14) since the release on Monday, is 1,177,445,400 JPY with a total of 2.19 million audiences.
The first-week results are 3,338,422,400 JPY for the gross revenue with a total of 2,194,533 audience. While comparing the first-week result with “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.”(2012), which has a total gross revenue of 5.3 billion JPY, the gross revenue is 45.1% higher with a total of 33.6% increase in the audiences. This popular work is still maintaining it momentum since the first day.
Also, the scenes of the “third village” that Shinji, Asuka, Ayanami Rei (provisional) had arrived in, were revealed for the first time. Do visits the theatre to see theirs fate in the finale.
