The PV for the TV anime “Fruits Basket” The Final, which will start airing on April 5, 2021, has been released. In addition, 18 cut scenes from The Final used in the PV were also announced.

“Fruits Basket” is based on the comic of the same name that was serialized in “Hana Yume” from 1998 to 2006. The main character is Honda Touru, a high school girl who lost her mother, the only family she had, and by chance she comes to live with her classmate Souma Yuki and her relatives Shigure and Kyou. However, the Souma family, who are “possessed by the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac,” have a secret that if they are embraced by the opposite sex for generations, they will transform into a possessed monster.

The Final’s PV begins with the words of Souma Shigure (CV: Nakamura Yuichi), “We are the twelve signs of the Chinese zodiac invited to the final banquet”. The PV shows how the “bond” between Souma Akito (CV: Sakamoto Maaya), who is equal to a god, and the possessed monsters of the twelve zodiacs are beginning to break down, and how Honda Touru (CV: Iwami Manaka) sadly expresses her feelings for Kyou.

There is also a change in the relationship between Souma Yuki (CV: Shimazaki Nobunaga) and Kuragi Machi (CV: Kakuma Ai), with whom she has been having a heart-to-heart. The way he grabs Machi’s hand as he feels he has to tell her his secret shows how much Yuki’s feelings have changed since the first season.
