It has been announced that a webcomic “GENERAL MANAGER OF BABY” will be adapted into an anime on NHK General TV. Actor Yasuda Ken will play as General Manager Takeda, and it is scheduled to be broadcast on March 28, 2021 at midnight.
It is based on a webcomic that Takeuchi Sachiko published on the Internet from 2017 to 2020, and is a 5-minute short anime.
It is a surreal comedy about a 47-year-old general manager of a company’s sales department, Takeda, who suddenly turns into a baby (about 8 months old?) one day and continues his work with the support of his subordinates.
The presence of a baby in the workplace brings to light the various ways of life of the employees, such as their worries and different views on marriage and gender, which are usually hard to see, and the heartwarming illustrations and jokes are filled with themes that will make you think.
The show is scheduled to be broadcast on March 28, 2021 from 0:40 am to 1:20 am, with a total of eight episodes.
