The 2nd cour of the TV anime “Moriarty the Patriot” will start broadcasting on April 4. The new character and the cast member along with the opening and ending song information have been announced.

“Moriarty the Patriot” is based on the same-name manga that is serialized on Shueisha “Jump SQ.”, and the sales of the manga have exceeded 4 million copies.
The story takes place in the 19th century of England when the country thrives due to the Industrial Revolution. Despite the technological advancement and development, the country is being governed by the nobles, which consists of less than 3% of the population, due to the old caste system.
The nobles, who are enjoying the authority as if it was usual, and the underclass, who are struggling to live for tomorrow… William James Moriarty has started his plan to create an ideal country by destroying this rotten system, where people are bind by the rank that was decided since birth.

It has been decided that the new character Irene Adler will be voiced by Hikasa Youko.
Irene is an ex-Prima Madonna born in America, who is good at cross-dressing. She is also good at stealing, and her fate had greatly changed after she stole a certain secret documents from Buckingham Palace.

Also, it has been decided that Hatanaka Tasuku and STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION will continue handling the theme song of the 2nd cour.
The opening is “Twisted Hearts” by Hatanaka while the ending is “Omega” by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION.

“Moriarty the Patriot” 2nd cour will start on April 4, at 10:30 PM, on TOKYO MX and other channels.

Irene Adler, voiced by Hikasa Youko

I’m Hikasa Youko, who will be voicing Irene.
I started to read the original manga during the audition, and I got attracted to the beautiful art and the unpredictable future developments.
Irene is strong-willed, refreshing, and brave enough to wander from place to place in different occupations and genders.
I enjoyed voicing this unrestricted character as she sometimes showed a mature expression while at other times, a mischievous expression.
Do look forward to the developments of Irene in her participation in the mental warfare of the Moriarty family and Sherlock as well as her interactions with them.
