As anime production technology has advanced in recent years, so has the quality of opening and ending theme song movies.
While some depict fight scenes, others show stylish scenes as if it is an actual music video of the artist. There are several kinds of anime opening and ending movies today.

This article picks up ending theme songs uploaded on official YouTube Channels. Ending theme songs are great ways to look for anime, in case you are worried that there are too many anime ongoing in one season.

Hortensia Saga

“Hortensia Saga” is originally an RPG for iOS/Android titled “Hortensia Saga: Knights of the Blue”, which had more than 9 million downloads around the world.
Riden Film, the animation studio known for producing the opening movies of all 3 game series, “Hortensia Saga Zero”, “The Heroic Legend of Arslan”, and ”Blade of the Immortal”, is in charge of anime production, and the anime was made into a popular fantasy story that all anime fans, not only those who had played the game before, can enjoy it.

The ending theme is “Yasou to Hakuchuumu” (Nightmares and Daydreams) by Mafumafu. The movie is like a painting on a campus that describes the ocean during sunrise and flying wings and flower petals, which implicates the emotion of the characters beautifully.

BEASTERS 2nd Season

The original work of “BEASTERS” 2nd season is the manga by Itagaki Tomoru currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Champion”.
Regoshi accepts the fact that he himself is a carnivore and takes a step forward with his love with Haru, but one day, a new danger approach to Regoshi looking toward the beginning of the new day-the shadow of the criminal involved in an unsolved murder case.

YOASOBI, the artist who “takes a novel and makes it into music”, is singing not only the opening theme song, music” YOASOBI, who is singing the opening theme song is also the singer for the ending theme song. Ending theme song is “Yasashii Suisei” (A Kind Asteroid). This song was produced together with the original novel by the original author Itagaki Tomoru titled “With the Leonid Meteor Shower”. This ending theme song is one of the must-watch movies that expresses the view of the anime wonderfully.

The original work of “Dr. STONE” is the craft adventure manga by Itagaki Riichirou and Boich serialize on “Weekly Shonen Jump”. (Shueisha)
After thousands of years had passed since all human beings are turned into stone by a mysterious power…a science lover Senkuu wakes up in the stone world, where all cultures and civilization are destroyed, and attempts to recreate civilization again with super scientific knowledge and powers.

The ending theme song is “Koe?” (Voice?) by Hatena. The movie begins with the evolutionof humankind, going through the birth of Ishigami Senkuu, his childhood, him turning into stone, until his current situation. The vivid colors at the end of the video seem to connect us to the excitement of the next week’s anime broadcast.

Promised Neverland Season 2

“Promised Neverland” is the dark fantasy written by Shirai Kaiu and drawn by Idemizu Poska, which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2016 to 2020.
The story is about the orphans, including the protagonist Emma, as they struggle against their harsh fate to reach for hope, regardless of the difficult situations that they are put in. The 1st season of the anime was broadcast in 2019 on “Noitamina” (Fuji TV).

The ending theme song is “Mahou” (Magic) by Myuk. The movie displays beautiful nature such as snow, rain, a starry sky, a glassland, etc…with Sonju and Mujika, together with relaxing music. There were also some “neat” touches for the fans, such as a moment where one of the characters was depicted only in a back view.

The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬ (2nd Season)

“The Quintessential Quintuplets ∬” was originally the romance and comedy manga by Haruba Negi, which was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”.
Fuutarou has a mission as the part-time tutor to salvage the beautiful quintuplets from “dropping out” and “tendency to skip studying” up to the point that all 5 can graduate . He becomes close friends with them through several events during the school camp. New obstacles approach him although he swears to continue his job. Moreover, the “girl of the photo”, whom Fuutarou loved for the first time, appears, and…

The original work of “So I’m a Spider, So What?” is the novel which has sold 3 million copies and 500 million views. (Sum of paperback and e-book)
A high school girl “I” was suddenly reborn in a fantasy world as a spider and survives in a dungeon with dangerous monsters together with unbelievable optimism and human wisdom.

“I” (CV: Yuuki Aoi) sings “Cheer Up! The Theme Song of Kumoko-san” as the ending theme song. The music provides the opportunity to enjoy the calls of an idol concert through the speedy tempo in the back. Moreover, Yuuki Aoi expresses the multiple emotions of the character with her great skills.

Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Half

The original work of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is the manga by Akutami Gege serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”.
Itadori Yuuji, a high school student with surprising physical ability, was spending his days quietly, but one day, eats a special ranked curse “a finger of Ryoumen Sukuna” to save his friend being attacked by “Curse” and now has to share his body with “Ryoumen Sukuna”. He then enters “Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College” on the recommendation of the strongest sorcerer Gojou Satoru.

The ending theme song is “give it back” by Co shu Nie. The movie captures a slice of life, where the protagonist Itadori Yuuji takes photos with his smartphone. This is a rare composition that allows viewers to experience the expressions and distance that only friends can show.

Cells at Work! BLACK

The original work of “Cells at Work! BLACK” is the spin-off manga of “Cells at Work!”, which mainly depicts the unknown support by body cells, including red blood cells and white blood cells.
The anime mainly picks up on the severe working conditions of the workers in a body which experiences “overdrinking”, “smoking”, and “lack of sleep”.

“Ue wo Muite Hakobou with Sekkekyuu & Hakkekyuu” (Deliver Them with Your Heads Up by Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell) is the ending theme song by POLYSICS and Red Blood Cell (CV; Enoki Junya) and White Blood Cell (CV: Hikasa Youko) also sings the song. TVThe anime “Horimiya” is based on the manga by HERO Hagiwara Daisuke. “The sparkling soda-like school life” of the protagonist Hori Kyouko and her classmate Miyamura Iori at Katagiri High School are the main focus of the anime.

The ending theme song is “Yakusoku” (Promise) by Friends, the group band made up of 5 boys and girls. The deformed Hori Kyouko and Miyamura Iori appear in the movie. An ordinary daily routine, from waking up in the morning to sleeping in the night, are shown with pop and cute colors.

World Trigger 2nd Season

“World Trigger is the scientific action manga by Ashihara Daisuke in “Weekly Shonen Jump” and “Jump SQ.”. Season 1 was broadcast from Oct. 5, 2014 to Apr. 3, 2016 (73 episodes) and the upcoming season 2 will depict “Galopra Arc”, where a planet nation “Galopra” attacks the Border Head Quarter, and “B-Rank Arc”, where B-rank characters fight.

“Mirai Eigou” (Forevermore) by Kami wa Saikoro wo Furanai is the ending theme song. The growth of the characters are neatly described through the expression of a black-and-white world gradually gains color as it is connected into one whole world.

Dr. Ramune: Mysterious Disease Specialist

“Dr. Ramune: Mysterious Disease Specialist” is the mysterious medical fantasy manga by Ahou Toro currently serialized in “Magazine Pocket”.
The story is set in a world where the people suffer from “mysterious diseases” after a ghost enters the bodies weakened from stress and anxiety, and the main character doctor Ramune and his disciple Kuro strives to help the patients.

“Arcacia” by saji is the ending theme song. In contrast to speedy opening theme song movie, this movie mainly focuses on the relationship between Ramune and Kuro using a medium ballad.
Pale coloring and music allows the fans to enjoy the atmosphere once again.

SK∞

“SK∞” is the original animation by the director Utsumi Hiroko (known for “Free!” and “BANANA FISH”), scriptwriter Ookouchi Ichirou (Known for “Rellouch the Rebellion”), the character designer Chiba Doutoku (“Mobile Suit Gundam: Orphens of the Iron Blood”), and the animation studio Bonzu (“My Hero Acadmia”).
It depicts the skateboard battles among unique skateboarders, including the protagonist Koyomi, who are haunted by the secret non-rule racing taking place at a closed mine.

The anime is summarized with the song “Infinity” by Yuuri. The ending movie shows the skateboard life of the characters. Comical designs are adopted so that uniqueness of each character could be found in a few cuts. Also, the back view of Koyomi and Ranga at the end of the video and the freshness of the music give a sense of the “youthfulness” of the work.

One day a 34-year old jobless man dies from a car accident and is reincarnated into another world with swords and magic. The man receives the name Rudeus and tries to live “up to his fullest” with his regrets and memories from the time when he was jobless.

Oohara Yuiko sings “Only” for the anime. Beautiful nature of wonderful gardens, a light shower into a forest covered with snow, a glassland covered in rain, etc. with the sad face of the protagonist Rudeus.

Attack on Titan The Final Season

The original work of “Attack on Titan” is the manga by Isoyama Hajime, which is currently serialized in “Bessatsu Shonen Magazine” (Kodansha).
This anime is about the continuing warfare between humans and mysterious creatures called “titans”. Season 1 to 3 was produced by WIT STUDIO but the final season will be produced by MAPPA, the animation studio known for “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Taisou Samurai”.

The ending theme song is “Shougeki” (Shock) by Andou Hiroko. Compared to the opening theme song, the ending theme song movie focuses on the “characters”. Many fans currently talk about the true meaning hidden in this movie with Falco and birds. What is the hidden message? This raises expectation more toward the climax.
