‘True Cooking Master Boy!’ Chrysanthemum Tower is open now !? Who is cooking in the kitchen…Preceding cutscene for episode 18

From the TV anime “True Cooking Master Boy!” (Season 2), the synopsis and preceding cutscene of episode 18 ‘Calamity at the Chrysanthemum Tower’ have been revealed. It is on air on Monday, February 15, 2021.

“True Cooking Master Boy” is based on a Chinese gourmet comic “Chuka Ichiban!” which was serialized in ‘Weekly Shonen Magazine’ from 1995.
The TV anime adaptation was released in 1997 and broadcast in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and about 80% of China’s mainland. It exceeded 600 million views on various Chinese video distribution platform.
The story is set in 19th century China and follows the protagonist chef Liu Mao Xing, and others compete in the “cooking underworld” that has an ambition of controlling people through cooking.

The subtitle for episode 18 is ‘Calamity at the Chrysanthemum Tower’.
As Shan broke in, Mao, Mei Li, and Shirou were separated from Xie Lu & Leon. Mao and others made a decision to head toward Chrysanthemum Tower where Mao was born. It was supposed to be closed, but it is open for some reason, and a boy who calls himself Juchi was cooking in the kitchen.

And Juchi is hitting on Mei Li. Mao has some mixed feelings…

‘Calamity at the Chrysanthemum Tower’, episode 18 of TV anime “True Cooking Master Boy” (Season 2), is on air from Monday, February 15, 2021 on TOKYO MX, MBS, and other channels.
