The TV anime “Detective Conan” is offering ‘”Detective Conan” 1000th Broadcast Celebration Project’ to commemorate its 1000th broadcast on March 6, 2021. As a part of it, “Moonlight Sonata Murder Case” will be rebooted.

The TV anime “Detective Conan” has been broadcast since January 8, 1996, and has marked its 25th anniversary in January 2021, and it also will mark 1000th broadcast on March 6, 2021.
In ‘”Detective Conan” 1000th Broadcast Celebration Project’ with gratitude for fans, some “legendary episodes” will be rebooted with new staff and technology.

It has been announced that the legendary episode to be rebooted will be “Moonlight Sonata Murder Case” which was broadcast on April 8, 1996.
Conan, Ran, and Kogoro get a letter to call them out to Tsukikage Island, a small island located in Izu, by a mysterious person. However, the person was a pianist who died 12 years ago, playing a sonata “Moonlight”. Third anniversary of the previous mayor’s death was being held at a public hall where they visit to research about the person. During the ceremony, “Moonlight” began playing…

The story follows Conan having a guilty conscience as he drove the suspect to death by questioning her too severely for the deduction, while ‘Moonlight Sonata’ by Ludwig van Beethoven is making a sad and touching melody.

Furthermore, the visual collage consists of 1,000 cutscenes from “Moonlight Sonata Murder Case” broadcast in 1996 has been revealed. Kobayashi Aimi, a pianist with a global reputation, will play the piano melody of ‘Moonlight Sonata’.
Please look forward to how Kobayashi expresses the legendary scenes, which is handed down as “the scene that cannot be watched without tears”, with the piano.

Also, Kuraki Mai, who has been in charge of the theme songs of “Detective Conan” many times, will perform the new opening theme song from March 6. The title will be ‘ZERI Kara Hajimete’, and the lyrics will be written for the 1000th broadcast.

The rebooted “Moonlight Sonata Murder Case (1st Half)” will be broadcast from 6:00 p.m. on March 6, and “Moonlight Sonata Murder Case (2nd Half)” will be broadcast from 6:00 p.m. on March 13.
