From the anime “Chuuka Ichiban!” Season 2, the outline and scenes of Episode 16 “Bakuen no Kawa” (broadcast from Monday, February 1, 2021) have been released in advance.
“Shin Chuuka Ichiban!” is based on the “Chuuka Ichiban!” series, a Chinese gourmet manga that started in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” in 1995.
It received a TV anime adaptation in 1997 and was broadcast in 80% of cities in China, along with Hong Kong and Taiwan in 1999. The series has been viewed for over 600 million times in total on Chinese streaming services.
Set in 19th century China, Liu Mao Xing and his friends fight against the “Underground Cooking Society” that aims to take over humanity through cooking.
Episode 16 is titled, “Bakuen no Kawa” (River of Fire).
After obtaining the 3rd Legendary Cooking Utensil, the “Holy Coperware”, Mao and his friends cross the Yangtze to go to Sichuan to find the 4th Legendary Cooking Utensili. Wary of Mao, the Gokosei, powerful leaders of the “Underground Cooking Society”, make a move.
First up was Hyoushitou Alkan, a.k.a. the “Flaming Chef”. Mao VS Alkan, the pyrotechnic battle of Yangtze begins!
