The 2nd performance of the new style recitation project “Reading Museum”, “Ikebukuro Sherlock, Saisho de Saigo no Jiken” (The first and final case) was announced.
Along with the announcement, the main visual and cast members were revealed.
The “Reading Museum” is a recitation theater project that brings together up-and-coming members with voice actor Namikawa Daisuke as its director. “Ikebukuro Sherlock, Saisho de Saigo no Jiken” is the 2nd performance following “Ikebukuro Night Owl Tales”, which was performed at Mixalive Tokyo, last September.
Namikawa Daisuke, Maeno Tomoaki, Hosoya Yoshimasa, Amasaki Kouhei, and Saitou Souma will be appearing in “Ikebukuro Sherlock, Saisho de Saigo no Jiken”. They will burn up the stage with the original story written by the mystery novelist, Shasendou Yuuki.
Namikawa Daisuke plays Kitazaki, a.k.a. “Rittei University’s Sherlock Holmes”, a criminal sociology professor. Kitazaki works on a murder case on his campus, dragging in his friends and students played by Maeno Tomoaki, Hosoya Yoshimasa, Amasaki Kouhei, and Saitou Souma. However, Kitazaki actually has no reasoning skills, so his incompetent logic brings light to some unexpected secrets…
Though having the same cast members and characters, the case and conclusion of each performance is different. The story unfolds in multiple universes, bringing new surprises to each of the 6 shows.
A promo video with a special recording of Namikawa Daisuke, the director of the “Reading Museum”, is currently available on the official website.
“Reading Museum” “Ikebukuro Sherlock, Saisho de Saigo no Jiken” will be streamed on January 26, 30, and February 7, 2021. Tickets are currently on sale.
