“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” The box office revenue for Mugen Train arc has exceeded 31.1 billion JPY! 50 million JPY is needed for Rengoku Kyoujurou to be “the historical no. 1 man”

As of December 20, 2020, the box office revenue of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train Arc” has exceeded 31.1 billion JPY.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is originally a Japanese-style dark fantasy serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” by Gotouge Koyoharu from 2016 to 2020.
“Kamado Tanjirou Risshi Arc” was broadcast from April to September 2019, with a total of 26 episodes, and the sequel is depicted in this movie, “Mugen Train Arc”.

The box office results on the 10th week since the release are 133,068 audiences with 187,788,050 JPY on December 19, and 138,780 audiences and 202,627,400 JPY on December 20.

The cumulative box office revenue from Japan nationwide 379 theatres is 31,166,647,900 JPY with 23,175,884 audiences. Currently, it is in the 2nd place in the Japanese box-office revenue ranking. The gap with the 1st place “Spirited Away” with 31.6 billion JPY is about 50 million JPY.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train Arc” is currently being premiered in Japan nationwide theatres. The MX4d and 4DX screening in Japan nationwide 82 theatres will start from December 26.
