Fan community with a monthly membership fee can be opened for 0 JPY for companies and individuals in the anime, manga, and game industries

“Fums”, an application that allows companies and creators in the anime, manga, and game industries to open a community for zero yen, has been announced. Currently, applications for the community are being accepted for release on February 17, 2021.

“Fums” is an application that allows companies and individuals such as anime and manga artists, game makers, voice actors, production companies, and character designers to create an official community with a monthly membership fee. Each fan can join multiple communities with a single app.

“Fums service has three features.”
By creating a community for each work or individual, a bond is created between a work and its fans, and by being able to see a previously unknown fan base, it becomes easier to understand what is expected of them, and by creating a stable revenue stream in the form of monthly membership fees, it becomes possible to create new events and goods.

A single “Fams” can be used to join various communities, and since crowdfunding and QR code payment functions will be implemented within the app, there will be no need to switch services for each event.
By making it a platform, the initial cost of opening and joining a fan club can be kept at zero yen, which makes it possible to create a “limited time” community and conduct pilot operations, which is a “drastically lowered bar”.

“Fams” is set to be released on February 17, 2021, and is currently accepting applications from companies and individuals to register as communities.
Communities can be created in the following genres: anime/manga/manga magazine/manga artist/light novel/light novel writer/game/voice actor/voice acting agency/ 2.5D actor/anime song singers/production company/creator [character designer or director etc.].
