Opening theme song’s music video has been released from ‘Obsolete’ written by Urobuchi Gen, known for ‘Psycho-Pass’

The latest episodes (episodes 7-12) of “Obsolete”, a SF battle action was written by an exceptional novelist Urobuchi Gen, known for “Psycho-Pass” and “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”, will be distributed on YouTube from 8:00 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2020. Ahead of that, the music video of the opening theme song ‘Obsolete’, co-produced by world-class artists Skrillex and Nightwatch, has been released.

“Obsolete” is an original full CG animation that depicts the ‘if’ world where ‘Exoframe’, the ‘2.5m’ tall consciousness-controlled general-use humanoid robot, is active. It was originally written and its story- edition was handled by Urobuchi Gen, who has produced numerous big hits, and animation production was handled by Buemon, a cutting-edge CG animation studio.
Episodes 1-6 were released on YouTube Originals in December 2019, and gained over 30 million views.

The music video of the opening theme song ‘Obsolete’, co-produced by world-class artists Skrillex and Nightwatch, has been released, featuring the cutscene of the newest episode.
The newest cutscenes and new mechanic and character designs have also been revealed.

The latest episodes (episodes 7-12) of “Obsolete” will be streamed on YouTube from 8:00 p.m. on Dec. 1, 2020.
