“Sword Art Online the Movie: Aria of a Starless Night” will be released in 2021! Key visual and the special movie have been released
The release date for “Sword Art Online the Movie: Aria of a Starless Night” has been announced to be 2021. In addition, the key visual, the special promotion movie, and the main cast were announced this time.
“Sword Art Online the Movie: Aria of a Starless Night” is the reboot series written by Kawahara Reki, which depicts the process of conquering the 1st to the final floor of Aincrad, where the death game had been held. The movie will be based on “Sword Art Online Progressive”, the novel containing the episode of Kirito becoming “Black Swordsman” and other episodes of Aincrad which not yet been depicted in the original series. The movie release was announced on the night show of the special event “Sword Art Online: Alicization-After War” held on Nov. 11 as the beginning of the animation project.
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu and Tomatsu Haruka continue to play Kirito and Asuna as they played them through the “Sword Art Online” series.
“Sword Art Online the Movie: Aria of a Starless Night” will be released in 2021.
