It was announced that the TV anime “Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club” will be aired from Jan. 7, 2021. The main PV and 4th connect visual have also been revealed. Also, Ishikawa Kaito and Amasaki Kohei will join the cast. We received comments from them.

“Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club” is based on a novel written by Kabei Yukako. The story is set in Fukui surrounded by mountains and blue sky, and follows a weak boys volleyball club aiming to participate in the national tournament.

The PV released features Fukuho Technical High School, a rival team, and yama, a mysterious singer, will sing its opening theme ‘Mahi (lit. Paralysis)’.
‘Charm’, the 4th version of the connect visuals that have been released for consecutive four weeks, has been revealed, featuring Mimura Subaru, an ace player of ‘Fukuho Technical High School’ that is one of the most powerful teams in Fukui, and Ochi Mitsuomi, the manager.
Also, the cast to play them has been revealed. Ishikawa Kaito will play Mimura Subaru, and Amasaki Kohei will play Ochi Mitsuomi.

TV anime “Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Club” will be aired from Jan. 7, 2021 on Fuji TV “noitaminA” and other channels.

Q1. What is your impression of the work?

This story carefully depicts how the members commit to volleyball, and how they are related to each other. Each high school has its own character, and you will be really excited to see their journey to get here.

Q2. What is your impression of the character you play? And what is your resolution?

Mimura is an ace that everyone relies on.
I don’t fully understand his feelings so far, so I’m looking forward to the development.

Amasaki Kohei as Ochi Mitsuomi

Q1. What is your impression of the work?

Pure, honest, I thought this is what youth story should be.
I like this kind of story as we only have a limited time to play sports in school days, which is transient but has a drama.
Also, the story is set in Fukui, so the characters speak with the Fukui dialect throughout the series.
I am from Osaka, so I studied it hard.
Please watch Mitsuomi, Subaru, and Fukuho are playing active roles!

Q2. What is your impression of the character you play? And what is your resolution?

He significantly changed how to commit to volleyball.
I quit the club that I belonged to in high school as I hurt my back, but I could not make a decision to be a manager, probably because I was not determined enough to support other members, and I was not passionate enough to be involved in the sport in a different position and to find another dream there. I don’t regret the decision, but still I admire Mitsuomi’s decision.

To commit to something with support from friends. I thought this was what youth days should be. The lyrics of ‘Mahi’ describe those who face difficulties while dealing with themselves, which will remind you of the main story. Please listen to the song, and feel their persistence.
