“Tokyo BABYLON 2021” will become anime in 2021! CLAMP’s first work is revived after 30 years!

“Tokyo BABYLON” will become TV anime in 2021. The original work is drawn by CLAMP, the group of manga authors who have recorded the sale of 1 billion books around the world and they continue to receive great support from the fans today. The title of the anime is “Tokyo BABYLON 2021” and the teaser visual has been released this time.

The original work of “Tokyo BABYLON” is based on the manga serialized in “South” and Monthly Wings” (published from Shinshokan) from 1990 to 19993, and it is known to be one of the greatest work by CLAMP soon after their debut.
The story revolves around the protagonist Sumeragi Subaru, who solves the mystery cases as an exorcist, together with his twin sister Hokuto and a mysterious guy Sakurazuka Seishirou, while depicting human relationships and social critics. TV anime will be set in Tokyo in 2021 and expectations are rising toward how it will be rearranged to fit in the Reiwa era.

In addition to the announcement of the TV anime adoption, the teaser visual was released as well. The 1st promotion movie became available with few scenes of the upcoming TV anime. Animation production will be directed by GoHands, known for “K” series and “Medlock’s Scramble” movie series.

“Tokyo BABYLON 2021” will become TV anime in 2021. The cast and staff information will be announced later.
