LiSA Wins 7 Titles, the Most Ever in the Oricon Music Ranking! The Single & Album Including the Theme Song of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Was a Big Hit

LiSA’s new album “LEO-NiNE”, which includes “Gurenge” from the opening of the TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, and her new single “Homura”, which includes the theme song of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train”, were released on Oct. 14, 2020. She will be the first musician in the Reiwa period to rank 1st place in both album ranking and single CD ranking of the Oricon Weekly Ranking of Oct. 26.
She also topped the list for digital and overall “Oricon Weekly Music Ranking”, which makes a total of 7 titles, the most ever in Oricon Music Ranking history.

LiSA appeared in the “70th NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen” for the first time, performing “Gurenge” on New Year’s Eve, 2019. It has been a year since its release, but the song kept its position at the top of the charts as a popular song. The single CD has sold over 190,000 copies, and it has been downloaded over a million times.
The music video of “Gurenge” on YouTube has received over 57 million views, making it the last song of the 2010s and the first song of the 2020s that represents the anime song scene.

LiSA’s latest song “Homura”, the theme song of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train”, won more titles than “Gurenge”, with an astonishing “55 titles”.
It is also a hot topic in overseas distribution, topping the J-POP New Song Char of “KKBOX”, a local DSP of Hongkong, and Macau’s iTunes Overall Chart. In Hongkong’s iTunes Overall Chart “Homura” is No.1 of single CDs, and for albums, “Homura” is 1st place and “LEO-NiNE” is 2nd. Moreover, in Taiwan’s iTunes General Album Chart, “Homura” and “LEO-NiNE” take 1st and 2nd place. The fever for her songs is spreading in and out of the country.

And when her single “Homura” and album “LEO-NiNE” was released on Oct. 14, they both reached No.1 on the “Oricon Weekly Ranking”.
She is the 10th female musician to accomplish this, the first in 16 and a half years, and is the first to achieve this in the Reiwa period.

This was followed by 3 titles of the “Oricon Weekly Music Ranking” on Oct. 21, “Weekly Digital Single Ranking”, “Weekly Streaming Ranking”, and “Weekly Digital Album Ranking”.
She also ranked No. 1 in “Weekly Total Single Ranking” and “Weekly Total Album Ranking”, giving her 7 titles of “Oricon Weekly Music Ranking”, the most ever in Oricon history.
