‘Stand by Me Doraemon 2’ Suda Masaki will sing the theme song! The release date and poster visual have been revealed

“Stand by Me Doraemon 2” will be released on Nov. 20, 2020. Suda Masaki sings the theme song. Along with that, a trailer with the theme song and poster have been revealed.

“Stand by Me Doraemon 2” is a 3DCG animation, which will be released following “Doraemon the Movie: Nobita’s New Dinosaur”, commemorating the 50th anniversary of its manga’s serialization. The previous work “Stand by Me Doraemon” was released in 2014, and earned over 8.38 billion JPY nationwide, a total of over 10 billion JPY worldwide, as its wonderful visual that pulled the viewers into the Doraemon world, and the moving story attracted a lot of people.

Suda Masaki will sing the theme song. After receiving the offer, Suda talked about his honest feeling, saying ‘I am so surprised that I can sing the theme song of Doraemon, which I have been familiar with as far as I can remember.’

Also, a trailer with the theme song and poster visual have been revealed. The trailer features the heart-warming words of Nobita’s grandmother that will appear in the film, which is truly moving together with the theme song. The poster visual features the wedding ceremony of Nobita and Shizuka-chan, and Draemon that has always been with them crying.

“Stand by Me Doraemon 2” will be released at IMAX 38 locations nationwide and others on Nov. 20, 2020.
