Johnny’s SixTONES has been chosen as an artist for the opening theme song of “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon”(The broadcast will start on Oct. 3, 2020.), which is a sequel to the anime series “Inuyasha”. Comments from Jesse have arrived on behalf of the members.

“Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” features the “Inuyasha” main characters’ daughters. Towa and Setsuna are Sesshomaru’s twin daughters, and Moroha is the daughter of Moroha and Inuyasha.

The TV version is directed by Sato Teruo, who worked as an assistant director for “Inuyasha: The Final Act”, and other staff also came from the “Inuyasha” series.
The main characters were designed by Takahashi Rumiko, the original creator.

SixTONES “NEW ERA” has been chosen as the theme song for this work.
SixTONES recorded the first-ever “Debut Single 1st Week Million” only three days after they released their first CD on Jan. 22, 2020. They also recorded the best “1st Week Sales” of male artists. Expectations are growing for their new song “NEW ERA”.

“Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon” will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV, Nippon TV, and their chained channels from5:30 p.m. on Oct. 3.

The new song “NEW ERA” is rock-style just as typical songs of us, but we faced a lot of new challenges at the same time. I believe that this song fits to the “Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon”, which has already gained much popularity before the broadcast begins.

I hope that it will be a good chance to know more about SixTONES, for the anime fans, and others, who didn’t know us until today.
